Cozy stay with a hearty breakfast

Just stayed for 1 night to visit a friend. The place felt super welcoming, warm, and clean. Plenty of tea, coffee, and biscuits available. The breakfast was a winner—lots of options and all delicious! Only bummer was the decor could use a refresh, but otherwise, it was a nice spot to rest.

The Northwood offers a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, with clean, bright rooms and easy access to the beach, making it perfect for seniors. The hosts, Sandy and David, added a personal touch, making my stay memorable.

Better decor in common areas would enhance comfort.

the northwood hotel was super clean n comfy! so close to the beach n lots of places to eat. breakfast was yum, they even made a vegetarian welsh breakfast for me which was awsum. we took our cat and she loved the big windows watchin birds outside. the hosts were realy nice n accommodating.

the room was a bit simple and basic, could use some more tlc. the shower was kinda small too.

Consider bringing your own curtains for added privacy. the current blinds do not block out street light well.

my family had a great stay at northwood! the standard double room was well-kept, and we loved the garden view. it’s just a short walk to the beachfront, making it perfect for a beach day. the friendly hosts made us feel right at home, which really stood out during our stay.

The serious issues include a pervasive musty smell throughout the building and rooms that feel outdated, with peeling wallpaper and thin, uncomfortable mattresses. Showers are frustrating. you have to hold the start button constantly, leading to inconsistent water temperatures. Bugs and cleanliness issues detract from the experience, and the lack of a reception desk makes communication difficult when issues arise. expectations don’t align with what’s provided, suggesting the need for significant updates and improvements.

What a lovely experience! Each morning, my furry friend was greeted with a sausage, which just melted my heart. The hosts, Sandy and David, were incredibly warm, offering us local insights and even sending a personalized birthday card for my partner’s special day.

I had a great time discovering the Holy Well and Chapel of St Trillo just a short walk away. The beautiful Rhos-on-Sea Beach is less than a 5-minute walk and perfect for a relaxing stroll along the shore.

The mattress needs serious attention. it felt lumpy and uncomfortable, which made for a rough night's sleep. I noticed the decor in the room looked dated, with some peeling wallpaper and outdated furnishings—which might not bother everyone, but it felt less inviting to me. the shower has poor pressure and requires holding the start button, making it inconvenient for a decent wash. Light filtering through the blinds at night can be intrusive, so a better window covering would be helpful.
